TBC  (map)

Start time 12:00 (please try to have meals between matches if possible)

Entry fee £10 (Money will be taken on the day)

Registration fee £5 (To cover trophies & bottles of wine & room hire)

£200 prize money (to be split between finalists - based on 20 players, all entry fee's go into the prize money)

To be confirmed:
We aim to hold it at The Broome Park Estate, Canterbury Road, Barham, Canterbury, Kent, CT4 6QX

We can hire a large room for the day which will provide us more room and also we wont worry about running out of time.

They serve some reasonable priced food, and for those who wish to stay over could even fit some golf in.

Otherwise we will be playing at the Old Coach and Horses as usual.

Winner & runner up split the prize money & both receive a trophy

1/4 finalists receive a bottle of wine

Format: (dependant on numbers)

3 to 4 groups, Round Robin 5pt matches (aim for minimum of 4 matches each)

Winner of each group and best runner up play 5pt semi final, with the winners going through to the final.

There will also be a group auction:

The players will be chose at random into groups of players, the highest bidder for each group gets a chance to win all the money if the winner is within their group.

Format may change depending on numbers. Although I aim for us to play at least 4 x 5pt matches

Very Important

I will need confirmation if you are attending ASAP.

Confirmation via e-mail only please so I can keep a record.

The tournament will be limited to a number of players to make the Round Robin format work.

This will be advised once all confirmations are in or closer to the event.

Ideally this will be either 15, 18,20 or maximum 24 players.

Any additional entries over these numbers means you will be held as a reserve player.

I need to control the number of players to make the teams even, otherwise it gets a little messy.

All match scores will be added to the UKBGF ratings

Usual club rules apply (as per UKBGF)

Based on the last tournament the mains finished about 6pm and the final finished about 7pm

Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

I organise this event purely for the love of the game and receive no money for doing so.

The venue also receives no money for letting us play there. So please order drinks and food as this is their reward.

There is either a bar snack menu or restaurant menu to choose from.

If anyone needs picking up from Canterbury train station please let me know and we can arrange it
